Microsoft PowerPoint Level One
1 or 2 day course depending on experience and requirements

This course is designed for anyone new to PowerPoint as well as people who are using PowerPoint but are not confident in using all of the available features. At the end of the course the learner will be able to create and edit a presentation.  During the course the learner will practice their skills with skill reviews and exercises. An evidence of learning form will be completed during the course and verified by the trainer. This can be used to prove competency in the areas covered by the learner. A certificate of completion will also be issued.

• Exploring the PowerPoint screen and Toolbars
• Creating a new Presentation: Templates, Auto content and Wizards
• Exploring Placeholders: Types, Resizing, Moving and Deleting
• Creating Different Slide Layouts
• Add New Slides and Change their Layout
• Rearranging Slides using the Slides Tab
• Copying, Pasting, Deleting and Duplicating Slides
• Use Text Boxes within Slides
• Customising your Presentation: Drop Shadow, Format Painter and WordArt
• Managing Folders and Different Slide Views
• Print and Print Preview
• Add Background Effects, Gradient Fills, Textures, Patterns and Pictures
• Inserting Headers and Footers, Date and Time and Line Spacing
• Using Spell Check and Autocorrect
• Delivery: PowerPoint Viewer, Copying to CD, the Navigation and Pointer Buttons

Microsoft PowerPoint Level Two
1 or 2 day course depending on experience and requirements

This course is designed for delegates that have mastered the basics of PowerPoint covered in Level One. At the end of the course the learner will be able to use advanced features to create professional presentations.  During the course the learner will practice their skills with skill reviews and exercises. An evidence of learning form will be completed during the course and verified by the trainer. This can be used to prove competency in the areas covered by the learner. A certificate of completion will also be issued.

• Creating and Working with Tables in Slides
• Adding Charts and Graphs to Slides
• Creating Customised Charts and Animating them
• Creating Organisational Charts and Changing the Chart Type
• Customise Diagrams by Adding Shapes and Using Design Schemes
• Implement Audio Visual Effects in Slides
• Using Movies: Looping and Rewinding a Movie
• Insert Sound Effects and Voice Narration
• Using Schemes to Add Animation
• Create Custom Design Templates
• Using Reference Material: Adding and Removing Resources
• Setting up Custom Shows and Linking Shows
• Using Macros, Links and Embedded Objects
• Understanding Speech and Language Recognition
• Using Web Scripts and the Script Editor
